*Employees and managers pursue a common goal: to prevent any professional from suffering harm in their workplace. Productivity increases by ensuring that people work in places where transparency exists and trust is fostered throughout the operations and supply chain. Furthermore, following responsible practices is increasingly important for brands and their reputation.
ISO 45001 is the new standard from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on occupational health and safety (OSH). It has become one of the most anticipated standards in the world and is on track to drastically improve safety levels in the workplace. Designed to help organizations of all sizes and sectors create a safe work environment for their employees, ISO 45001 is already considered a revolutionary standard by OSH professionals. Developed by the ISO/PC 283 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems project committee, ISO 45001 has had contributions from more than 70 countries. Many OSH professionals believe that ISO 45001 will provide an international framework that will ultimately enhance employee safety, reduce occupational risks and create better and safer working conditions for workers around the world.
